BSEditor: This patch should also be applied to SPSS GRad Pack 11.0 for Windows and SPSS Career Starter 11.0 for Windows. The patch will upgrade your existing SPSS 11.0 for Windows to version 11.0.1. SPSS version 11.0.1 is certified to run on the Windows XP Operating System. SPSS 11.0.1 is an incremental release in which the following changes were made:
* A problem in which the Default working directory could not be set was fixed.
* A problem in which an unrecoverable error on dual processor machines was repaired.
* A problem in which SPSS 11 could not use SPS_OEM 3.7 Sybase ASE driver was repaired.
* A problem in General Tables truncated long variable labels was fixed.
* A problem where Decimal places in currency fields were chopped off when reading in Access & SQL Server in non-English locale.
* A problem in which SPSS MVA listwise ignored categorical variables missing status was fixed.
* A problem in which the SPSS MVA Regression Output was not affected by ADDTYPE option choice was repaired.
* A problem with Excessive memory allocation was corrected.
* A problem in which SAVE OUTFILE syntax would not let you overwrite the existing file if a KEEP or DROP sub-command was present was repaired.
This patch affects the SPSS Base system and the following SPSS options: Regression Models, Advanced Models, Tables, Trends, Missing Value Analysis, Conjoint and Categories.
Instructions for the 11.0.1 upgrade patch
1. Download the patch.
2. Double click on spss11.0.1.exe.
3. Select the folder into which the patch will be installed. This should be the folder in which SPSS for Windows is installed.
4. Click on OK to install the patch.
* In a network environment, the administrator will need to upgrade the installation on the network before a client can upgrade his/her workstation.
* The patch application will FAIL if you have replaced any of the executables that ship with the product. you can free download SPSS 11.01 now.
